Learn about and live with COPD

Although one person out of 14 in Quebec lives with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)it remains poorly understood and under-diagnosed, because many patients do not dare to mention their breathing difficulties.

COPD is a chronic inflammatory disease of the lungs that makes it difficult to breathe due to narrowing of the airways. Although it is the leading cause of hospitalization in Quebec, and potentially fatal, it is still possible to slow the progression of COPD and lead a full and active life.
