The Lebanese-Israeli border witnessed a remarkable escalation in the past 24 hours, as two Israelis were killed, Hezbollah and the occupation army exchanged violent bombardment, and clashes took place with infiltrators, leading to deaths and injuries, including 5 Israeli soldiers.
On Sunday, the Israeli Ambulance Service announced that two people were killed and another was wounded by an anti-tank missile fired from Lebanon at northern Israel.
Meanwhile, the Israeli Broadcasting Authority reported that 5 occupation army soldiers were injured at dawn today in an armed clash in Shebaa Farms, on the northern border with Lebanon.
The Israeli army had previously stated that its forces killed at dawn today 4 militants who infiltrated from Lebanon into the “Jabal al-Rus” area, in the Shebaa Farms on the slopes of Mount Hermon.
There were reports that an unknown group called the “Islamic Ezz Brigades” claimed responsibility for the infiltration operation that occurred in Shebaa Farms at dawn today.
For its part, Hezbollah said that it targeted a “Merkava” tank at the Metulla site, which led to its destruction and its crew being killed and wounded.
He also announced the targeting of Israeli army crowds in the sites of Al-Marj, Khirbet Maar, and Kafr Yuval, causing deaths and injuries among their ranks. It was also announced that the Birkat Risha site was targeted and directly hit.
Hezbollah added, in its successive statements, that it targeted the “Ruwaisat Al-Alam” site in Shebaa Farms with missiles, and achieved direct hits. He also announced that he attacked 5 Israeli sites off the Lebanese border.

On the other hand, today the Israeli army intensified its bombing of villages and towns in southern Lebanon. Lebanese field sources reported that the Israeli artillery shelling targeted the outskirts of the towns of Hula and Mays al-Jabal.
The Israeli army announced that its warplanes bombed Hezbollah sites and infrastructure in southern Lebanon this afternoon.
Last night, Israeli forces fired dozens of heavy shells targeting large areas in the Kafr Shuba, Habariya and Shebaa heights.
In a related context, Israeli Army Chief of Staff Herzi Halevy said that Lebanese Hezbollah may turn all Lebanese territory into a combat zone. He added that this would incur a “heavy price” for the party, as he put it.
Over the past weeks, Israeli leaders have repeated their threats to Hezbollah and Lebanon in the event of escalation on the border, in light of American and international calls to avoid expansion of the ongoing war in Gaza.
Hezbollah and Palestinian factions in Lebanon have exchanged cross-border shelling with Israel on an almost daily basis since last October 8, resulting in dozens of deaths and injuries on both sides of the border.
This comes in response to the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, which left about 24,000 martyrs and more than 60,000 injured, massive infrastructure destruction, and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.
