Prices of all fuels fell slightly on Friday morning in Lebanon, where the national currency is still hovering around 97,000 Lebanese pounds to the dollar on the parallel market.
Here are the new prices provided by the Ministry of Energy and Water at 9 a.m.:
– 20 liters of gasoline at 95 octane: 1,802,000 pounds (- 30,000 pounds)
– 20 liters of gasoline at 98 octane: 1,844,000 pounds (- 30,000 pounds)
– 20 liters of diesel (for vehicles): 1,552,000 pounds
(- 26 000 livres)
– Domestic gas cylinder: 1,042,000 (- 39,000 pounds)
– Kiloliter of fuel oil (used to supply private electric generators): 738.14 dollars, down 14.91 dollars compared to the last scale.
The ministry has been broadcasting the prices via a dedicated application for ten days, Lebanon Fuel Price. These prices can be changed up to 4 times a day if the national currency fluctuates by more than 1,000 pounds in a short period of time. And in the event that it remains stable, the ministry nevertheless updates the prices every Tuesday and Friday according to the world prices of hydrocarbons relayed via a dedicated index.
