SEPRORGS held, on April 19, at 11 am, the event “ChatGPT and the legal framework of AI: Uncomplicating a revolution”, at Instituto Caldeira, in Porto Alegre-RS, with a lecture by Dr. Juliano Madalena , partner at Lamachia Advogados Associados.

Doctor and Master in Law from UFRGS, Madalena holds a post-graduate degree in Consumer Law from Coimbra-Portugal, a degree in Law from FMP, professor of the graduation in Law at FMP, coordinator of the Post-Graduation in Digital Law and Cybersecurity at FMP, coordinator of the FMP International LL.M in Data Protection and founder of Direitodigital.io.

In the lecture held, the focus was on deepening knowledge about the Artificial Intelligence tool that was created at the end of 2022 and which, since then, has already surpassed 57 million users worldwide. “ChatGPT is focused on virtual dialogues, with learning by the chatbot, being a technology that promises to deliver automated service with greater humanization”, explained the speaker.

But this, according to him, is not the only point to pay attention to in relation to the ChatGPT: many other nuances need to be studied, some of them being the impacts it will have on companies, work, consumption and also its conciliation with themes of the Convention Labor Collective.

Still according to the speaker, there are challenges to be overcome and doubts to be answered in relation to the ChatGPT, and the subject will certainly generate new rounds of conversation between businessmen, scholars and other interested parties.

“This event, which had around 150 participants, also brought to light important debates on topics such as the regulation of Artificial Intelligence and intellectual property issues, which are fundamental for the business community”, commented the president of SEPRORGS, Rafael Krug. “It was a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge”, concludes the manager.
