Legal Medicine confirmed the death of two minors in a bombardment against alias Iván Mordisco

After the bombing perpetrated on July 9 in the village of Santa Rita, in San Vicente del Caguán (Caquetá), in which 9 people died, among them alias Iván Mordisco –who would be the top leader of the FARC dissidents in the country–, the National Institute of Legal Medicine issued a statement indicating the death of two minors in the middle of the operation.

In the letter, the institution emphasizes that the bodies were handed over to them after the bombing, with the intention of carrying out the corresponding analyzes to determine the identities of the deceased, and in this way proceed to inform public opinion and also to hand over the remains. to the families of those involved.

Meanwhile, the Legal Medicine document is emphatic in highlighting the death of two minors in the middle of the operations; both bodies would correspond to the female sex and they would still be in the institute facilities waiting for their relatives to come to claim their remains.

So far, seven of the nine people who died in the bombing have been identified, so a future communication with the other two remaining names is expected; however, it was anticipated that these would be from two young women.

Among the identified victims and whose relatives have not gone through their bodies are John Alexánder Pedraza González, Jhonmar Córdoba Ortiz, Vidal Parra Tapasco and Jarvin Julián Martínez Rodríguez, while the minors were identified to the public with the initials MYMM. and KACH, this with the objective that their relatives manage to recognize their names and go to the institution.

Legal Medicine clarified that the bodies resided in the Meta-Villavicencio branch and left some contact numbers to provide information to the relatives.

Regarding the people who died in the bombing, the Government has insisted that they belonged to the security ring of alias Iván Mordisco, as well as a woman who would be the sentimental partner of the leader of the armed group, who was identified as alias Lorena; however, it has not been established so far what role these affected minors would have in the operation.

“There were several months of information gathering, a serious process, with human sources, criminals from the same structure who were making contact. The intelligence was focused on him, the entire collection process was to reach him. This evidence allows us to indicate to the country that this criminal is neutralized,” Vargas said.
