LEGO and Epic Games are teaming up to create a metaverse for kids

The Danish toymaker and the creators of Fortnite announce a very trendy collaboration, namely a metaverse, this time aimed at the little ones, which should allow them “to express their creativity in complete safety.”

Focus on child well-being

As the press release explains, “The LEGO Group and Epic Games will combine their vast experience to ensure that this next iteration of the internet is designed from the ground up with the well-being of children in mind.

In order to best protect the little ones, the two companies have established three principles, which should make it possible to avoid abuses:

  • Protecting children’s right to play by making safety and well-being a priority
  • Protecting Children’s Privacy
  • Empower kids and adults with the tools that put them in control of their digital experience
