Leica Camera Company will release the mirrorless camera “Leica SL3” on Saturday, March 16th. The sales price on the Leica online store will be revealed when reservations begin at 10am on Friday the 8th.
Mirrorless camera that uses L mount. This model follows the 2015 Leica SL, 2019 Leica SL2, and 2020 Leica SL2-S. The image sensor is CMOS with 60.3 million effective pixels, and the image processing engine is Maestro IV. Equipped with a 5-axis, 5-step in-body image stabilization mechanism.
The image sensor uses the same triple resolution technology as the Leica M11 and Leica Q3, and in addition to 60 million pixels, it can also record RAW at 36 million pixels and 18 million pixels.
Three AF methods can be used: phase difference detection (PDAF), depth map (object recognition AF), and contrast detection (contrast AF), and it also has an intelligent subject detection function.

The EVF is 5.76 million dots, approximately 0.76x (3:2). You can choose between 60fps and 120fps. The rear monitor is a 3.2-inch, 2,332,800-dot touch panel type. Supports tilt operation. The information display screen on the top is a 1.28-inch, 128 x 128 dot monochrome liquid crystal.
Memory card slot: CFexpress Type B x 1, UHS-II compatible SD x 1. Buffer memory is 8GB.
The battery is “BP-SCL6”. The number of shots that can be taken is 260 according to CIPA standards, and approximately 1,350 according to the company’s standards based on CIPA standards.
