Can we rekindle the feelings Sonic had when it first came out? Sonic Origins is a remastered version of the four classic Sonic series.

On the 21st, Sega Publishing Korea announced that the new Sonic Origins will be released on June 23rd, which coincides with Sonic’s birthday. This title is a remastered work with improved graphics of the four works, the starting point of the Sonic series: Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog CD, and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 & Knuckles.

In Sonic Origins, not only the graphics have been improved, but also various modes have been added. In Anniversary Mode, which can be enjoyed in a 16:9 wide screen, you can choose one of Sonic, Tails, or Knuckles to play as much as you want without worrying about game over. However, Knuckles is locked in the Sonic the Hedgehog CD Act.

You can feel the nostalgia at the time of release. Classic mode can be enjoyed in the same aspect ratio as the original version. There is also a story mode that can be played continuously from start to finish. Through this, you can enjoy the newly created animation for this work. In addition to this, a boss rush mode that continuously battles bosses appearing in the work and a mirroring mode that challenge the left and right stages when the recorded title is cleared are also included.

Various new elements have also been added. Through the museum system, it is possible to view materials at the time of development of the original edition or contents that have not been released until now. In addition, the Normal Collection, which automatically opens according to the progress of the game, and the Premium Collection, which can be opened with coins obtained through boss rush and missions, have been added. There is also a ranking system. Here, you can view your best clear time and global player ranking for each act.

Sonic Origins will be released on June 23rd for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
