Levante e Cosmo in tour

Two Italian singer-songwriters such as Levante and Cosmo are on tour in theaters; the first boasts success last September at the Verona Arena; the second surprises us by returning live, in the clubs, presenting new pieces. The young pianist Filippo Gorini has instead created a journey around one of Bach’s masterpieces, the “Art of Fugue”, and carries it out in dialogue with figures such as Frank Gehry, the mathematicians Marcus du Sautoy and Betül Tanbay, the neuroscientist Alice Mado Proverbio and many others. We listen and talk about music, in an innovative way.

Milano

On 25 and 26 March at the Teatro Dal Vermela singer-songwriter Levante, who we also know as a writer and judge on X Factor. After last September’s success at the Verona Arena she is on tour in theaters with her latest album “Opera Futura”; the concerts that cover the whole peninsula will end on May 19th in Udine. “Opera Futura” is the synthesis of what Levante has been over the years. The audience will not find a new artist on stage. She will meet the Levante that we have come to know, with her strength and her fragilities, with pieces from each of her albums, and all those from the new one.

Torino

Singer-songwriter Cosmo’s tour starts on April 2nd at OGR, with numerous concerts that will end on April 30th in Cesena. It presents the new album, “On the wings of the white horse”, where the author wanted to “bring closer what seems unapproachable, the Italian song and the experimental and avant-garde world, the sounds of trance with a classical guitar”.

RAI – Dialogues on the Art of Escape

Every Thursday at 10.45pm on Rai5 until 20 June we listen to the young pianist Filippo Gorini in dialogue with thirteen personalities from the scientific and artistic world on the complex figure of Bach and his last unfinished masterpiece, “The Art of Fugue”. It is a path that is divided into themes linked to the contemporary, relating music to topics such as beauty, symmetry, poetry, time, memory, rhythm, dance, the brain. In dialogue with the pianist we will listen to the architect Frank Gehry, the directors Peter Sellars and Alexander Sokurov, the sculptor Alexander Polzin, the pianist Alfred Brendel, the choreographer Sasha Waltz, the mathematicians Marcus du Sautoy and Betül Tanbay, the neuroscientist Alice Mado Proverbio, the writer Dominique Eddé, the cellist Steven Isserlis, the composer George Benjamin and the artistic director Leila Getz.
