The libertarian intern seems to become more complex every day. In recent days, posters of leaders who seek to keep the title of ‘Javier Milei’s candidate in Córdoba’ have proliferated in Córdoba. Although the provincial electoral calendar has not yet been confirmed, there are already several names in the local libertarian race and few definitions by the priests of La Libertad Avanza in Buenos Aires.
consulted by CORDOBA PROFILE The three main annotated –Rodolfo Eiben, Gabriel Bornoroni and Agustín Spaccesi– analyzed the current scenario and explained what would be the most convenient way to define the libertarian candidate in Córdoba.
Rodolfo Eiben, lawyer and president of the Democratic Party of Córdoba, considers that there will be no inmates because the candidate is defined and he will be the one who will lead the provincial ballot. “I represent the Democratic Party of Córdoba, which has defined my candidacy and that of Milei as President. We are not subject to internal I don’t know who’s talking about internals. It may be some other expression of desire from some other candidate who is in his right, if he has a party. Of those that I have seen, none of them have a match, ”said Eiben marking the field.
“They are expressions of desire, which manifest a desire to want to be. I want to replace Joe Biden in the United States, but I can’t. If these people state with which party they want to be a candidate, if they have congressmen, affiliates, then they will be able to be. Otherwise, they should go with a rented stamp or join the Democratic Party that has its candidate defined. The doors are open and they may be candidates for other positions. These people who have come out to manifest their own voluntarism do not belong to the ranks of the Democratic Party because they are not affiliated, ”she added bluntly. And he said that on March 1 he will launch his candidacy at a ceremony in a downtown hotel, in which he will be the only speaker and in which he will present candidates for mayors of the interior and departmental legislators.
Milei’s finger. Gabriel Bornoroni is another of the candidates in the race. The businessman is the current president of the Federation of Fuel and Related Retailers of Córdoba (Fecac) and is treasurer of the Chamber of Commerce of Córdoba, among other leadership spaces. According to Bornoroni, all those noted “we are Milei’s referents and we are working for Milei president. So Milei will be the one who chooses the candidate and what will be the strategy in the province. There is no internal because he will decide, which is logical because it is his space, he will command the strategy ”, he affirmed.
Bornoroni said that he had a meeting with Carlos Kikuchi, Milei’s political outfitter, who explained to him how the inmate will be defined. “In the talk we had with Kikuchi, he indicated that Milei is going to define the candidate. He is going to put the best player to accompany him from Córdoba to reach the presidency in 2023 ”. Regarding his political actions, he said: “I am touring the entire province, taking Javier Milei’s more than my candidacy. We have to get rid of the caste of the last 70 years ”, he completed.
A great poll. Agustín Spaccesi, president of the Córdoba Libertarian Party, was cautious about the situation that exists regarding the candidacies. “We continue with the same work as always, which is to make the ideas of freedom grow. We have 62 promoting boards with the idea of presenting candidates in the interior, this represents more than 80% of the population of the province, which is very significant”, he explained “We started working in 2018 and now we have decided to launch the candidacy for governor with a battery of proposals that can be useful to solve the problems of Córdoba”, he commented.
Regarding the modality to solve the internal one, Spaccesi offered his gaze and took the opportunity to bring up his story linked to Milei. “First it is important to say that everyone is welcome. In 2019, when we had the first electoral experience of liberalism, we were very few. It is good that people join, it is a reflection of the growth of the space. Second, like good liberals, we need to put together a unity list and the best way to put together that list is through the polling process,” he opined. And he added: “We do not have the possibility of putting together a STEP or an internal election because we are different parties, but we do take the demand. Through the survey mechanism, find out who the people of Cordoba want as a candidate in Córdoba. That was decided in Buenos Aires ”, closed Spaccesi.
