The Libyan House of Representatives voted by majority to suspend the Libyan Prime Minister, Fathi Bashagha, and refer him for investigation, assigning the Minister of Finance, Dr. Osama Hammad, to run the duties of prime minister in addition to the Ministry of Finance.

In its official session in Benghazi, on Tuesday, the Libyan House of Representatives discussed the performance of the Libyan government headed by Fathi Bashagha and what it has presented since it gained confidence from the Libyan House of Representatives last year, according to what was confirmed by the official spokesman for the House of Representatives, Abdullah Blehaq, in a statement.

Today, the session of the Libyan Parliament started, headed by the First Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Fawzi Al-Nuwairi, and the Second Vice-President, Abdul Hadi Al-Saghir, where the Council will discuss its agenda and any developments.

In conjunction with the session of the Libyan Parliament, the head of the Libyan government appointed by Parliament, Fathi Bashagha, decided to assign Deputy Prime Minister Ali Al-Qatrani to run the duties of the Council of Ministers in the Libyan government, while delegating him with all the powers granted.
