Deeply aware of its responsibility towards society as a whole and drawing inspiration from its timeless corporate values, the Lidl Greece expands its cooperation with the Social Solidarity & Assistance Network (Network) and Reception & Solidarity Center of the Municipality of Athens (K.Y.A.D.A.) for 5the consecutive year, continuing the “Synergy of Offer and Love” initiative. With the end of this year’s cooperation, Lidl Greece will have offered total products worth 520.000€ to support families in real need.
Through this synergy, the three agencies renew their commitment to society, highlighting the power of collective effort and cooperation. Specifically, Lidl Greece, in the context of strengthening the Network’s work, is proceeding with the continuation of donation of long-lasting food, cleaning supplies, stationery, etc., with a total value of €120,000 for the fifth consecutive year. The products are received on a monthly basis by the Network from the company’s warehouse in Kalyvia Attica and are available to support the work of K.Y.A.D.A., specifically to meet the basic needs of 340 families annuallyas well as its functional needs Multipurpose Homeless Center of the Municipality of Athens.
“We remain deeply aware of our fellow citizens who are either in conditions of social exclusion, for various reasons, or below the poverty line. We want every time not only to act supportively, but to raise awareness proactively. To strengthen the community and reduce exclusion and inequality, which is why we are particularly proud to continue this important initiative,” said Vasiliki Adamidou, Director of Communication and Corporate Responsibility of Lidl Greece.
“Together with Lidl Greece and the Social Solidarity & Aid Network, we continue with stability and consistency the work of giving. We are happy that our partnership is renewed for a 5th year, making it an integral part of our daily activity to strengthen vulnerable social groups,” said President of K.Y.A.D.A., Mrs. Tzini Gennimata.
