Lidl launches electric bikes in France under Crivit brand with interesting features

Two months ago, the German brand Lidl announced the sale of its first electrically assisted bicycles on its website. They are now available in France, with a price of 1,199 euros each.

Two models are marketed under the Crivit brand. The first, the CRIVIT Urban E-Bike X and the second CRIVIT Urban E-Bike Y. They are priced at 1,199 euros, 100 euros less than in Belgium or Germany.

The main difference is not the price, but the framework of one and the other. The Y model has an open frame, easier seating unlike its X counterpart which has a high frame as seen on a large number of bikes.

A bike with more than interesting features

The electrically assisted bicycle has the right to hydraulic brakes manufactured by Tektro. It has a range of 70 km for a removable 360Wh battery. The battery recharges in 3h30, enough to charge the bike during your working day.

The weight of the bike may seem huge, it weighs 20 kilos, but it is in the average weight of electric bikes.
