2023-09-05 06:06:59

Train traffic resumed normally at Liège-Guillemins station on Tuesday around 8:00 a.m., the rail network manager announced. Traffic there had been disrupted since 6:00 a.m. due to a broken down train.

A passenger train which was to make the connection between Welkenraedt and Ostend had found itself immobilized at the entrance to the station of Liège-Guillemins, had indicated a spokesperson for Infrabel. Two of the station’s nine tracks were blocked. The immobilized train was able to set off once more following a breakdown service. All lanes are now accessible and traffic can resume normally, the spokesperson explained around 8:15 a.m.
