To transform, the group can develop tools in-house, buy a ready-made solution or collaborate with a start-up to deploy a system, as explained by David Glijer, the group’s director of digital transformation. The steelmaker claims to be one of those companies that go beyond proof of concept by helping start-ups to industrialize their solution. A win-win approach since the manufacturer can improve its business processes with appropriate innovation and the start-up can take the industrialization stage.
