Leading footballer Lionel Messi has been appointed the official brand ambassador of Saudi Tourism. Arriving in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, Messi is visiting various tourist destinations. Saudi Arabia’s new initiative is part of its efforts to become a major tourist destination in the world.
Lionel Messi arrived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia yesterday. He visited various luxury tourism destinations, including Neom, which is situated on the shores of the Red Sea. This is his first visit since being appointed Saudi Tourism Ambassador. In a tweet welcoming Messi, Tourism Minister Ahmed al-Khatib said it was not his first visit to the country but his last.
Messi also visited the ancient city of Jeddah, Balad. Messi could attend the biggest event of the season in Jeddah. The 60-day Jeddah Season Festival will feature more than 2,800 events.
