The trained actress Lisa Schmid is currently starting out not only as a singer, but also as a cabaret artist. Her debut program “Grab of Honor” premiered in Vienna in 2019. In 90 minutes of playing time, Lisa Schmid, in good Viennese style, humorously works on dying. Yes, there is something funny about death too.

Lisa Schmid’s fascination with everything morbid developed early on, she says in the show. As a child, Lisa regularly crashed funerals with her grandmother Petronella. Grandma still does that, even at over 90 years old. Because where else can you find singles at this old age, other than at the cemetery? Black humor has obviously been inherited by Lisa Schmid. Death is always a cause for sadness, but it is also a good setup for the next punchline.

In the FM4 Happy Hour, Lisa Schmid advocates for a better image of death. In her set, she recommends social media marketing at the cemetery, including a matcha latte and an urn – for the young target group. Or for the older ones: order coffins by phone on Shopping TV with a 1+1 promotion.

In spring 2023 she released her new EP “Asche”. A bit of jazz mixed with Austro-pop, plenty of Vienna references and charm. Unsurprisingly, death can’t be missed here either:
