Lloris behind the exclusion of Benzema from the World Cup? The actor responded

Just hours before the Qatar World Cup kickoff, French superstar Karim Benzema was ruled out due to injury. The player informed his fans through his official social media account that he will not play the World Cup.

However, reports emerged later that the player recovered from the injury faster than expected and will join the French national team in the next matches of the World Cup. Benzema was not back in the team despite the fans looking forward.

It was later rumored that Benzema was deliberately left out by the French national team, with captain Hugo Lloris and Antoine Griezmann behind it. Loris has now responded to the issue.

Lloris responded by saying that it was all nonsense and that everyone wanted Benzema in the team with them. He said that there are various kinds of propaganda coming out and they are all fake and unbelievable.

“With and without Benzema, the team has been in great form. He is a Ballon d’Or winner. He is a valuable player for us.

He also played a crucial role in winning the Nations League title for France. We wanted to have the best players in the World Cup,’ said Lloris.

Karim Benzema announced his retirement shortly after the end of the Qatar World Cup. Now Lloris has also announced his retirement from international football.

The 36-year-old star will make his debut in the national team in 2018. He also became the most capped French player with 145 appearances for France.

Lloris made his senior international debut in November 2008 in a friendly against Uruguay. Lloris helped France qualify for the 2010 FIFA World Cup, earning praise from the media for his impressive performance against the Republic of Ireland in the qualifying play-off.

He led the national team for the first time in 2010. As first-choice captain in 2012, he led France to the quarter-finals of UEFA Euro 2012 and the 2014 FIFA World Cup, finishing as runners-up at UEFA Euro 2016.

Lloris is also France’s most capped player at the 2022 FIFA World Cup and the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

Despite announcing his retirement from international football, Lloris will reportedly remain at his club Tottenham Hotspur.
