LNZ beat “Heather” in the match of the 24th round of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL). The match at the Central Stadium in Cherkassy ended with a score of 1:0.
The hosts scored the only goal in this meeting at the beginning of the second half. At the 48th minute Oleksiy Khoblenko made a productive shot after a pass by Gennady Pasich.
It should be noted that the start of the second half had to be postponed for a certain time due to an air alarm.
Review of the match LNZ – “Veres”
LNZ interrupted a long winless streak, which consisted of five matches of the championship of Ukraine. Prior to this, the Cherkasy team last won on March 1 against “Polissya” (1:0).
The victory allowed LNZ (29 points) to secure ninth place in the UPL. “Veres” (19 points) remained in the 13th position in the zone of transitional matches for maintaining registration in the elite division.
In the next round, Oleg Dulub’s team will play away against “Alexandria” on April 21, and the Rivne club will host “Dnipro-1” on the same day.
