New Delhi ∙ The local shepherds protested once morest the Chinese forces on the eastern Ladakh border. Video footage of them arguing with soldiers saying ‘this is India’s place’ has surfaced. The footage also shows stone pelting at soldiers.
The incident took place in the northern border area of Pangong Lake. Since 2020, Chinese troops have invaded the Indian side, and grazing of goats has been banned in this area. These are the ones who came despite this.
Konchok Stansin, councilor of Chushul, a border area, said that the sight of the shepherds coming forward to protect Mathrubhumi is exciting and the courage shown by the Indian forces paved the way for it.
