Lokomotiv striker Maxim Glushenkov opened the scoring by scoring in the 26th minute of the match after an error by Zenit midfielder Wendel in his own penalty area.

At the 77th minute of the match, Zenit midfielder Mateo Cassierra scored a goal in a fall over himself. This ball became his debut for the St. Petersburg club.
