The fire brigade said they had been alerted because of a person trapped below the road. An ambulance, a rescue helicopter and firefighters had been used in vain to save the seriously injured man, police said.

25 firefighters were deployed, who used a winch, among other things. The rescue workers might only have determined the death of the man.
