Long queues formed in the chicken shops of various districts of Lima for a promotion of grilled chicken that quickly went viral. The demand was such that some diners were left unable to make their purchase.
Madness broke out early in different places due to the offer launched through social networks. Thus, hundreds of grilled chicken lovers crowded various chicken shops this Thursday to access a quarter of chicken for only 5 soles, as long as the payment was made with a transfer using a well-known application.
GRILLED CHICKEN FOR EVERYONE?
The emotion gave way to annoyance due to the disorder that was formed in the different poultry shops. Through a quick tour, long queues could be detected in different places as far away as Carabayllo, Jesús María, Los Olivos and Surco.
In some places, the demand for grilled chickens exceeded the offer, so they had to terminate the promotion before the agreed time for its end, at 4:00 pm on Thursday.
Some showed their anger at running out of their long-awaited grilled chicken for 5 soles, while others – lucky ones – agreed to the offer and were able to taste one of the most recognized dishes of our gastronomy. Some and others asked that the offer be repeated, but for more hours.
