Kike Teruel caused an impact last weekend by announcing his irreversible departure from Los Nocheros. The musician assured that this was planned with his colleagues, that it was a personal decision and that there was no going back. He also said that he was not going to continue his solo singing career.
In this, he assured that Los Nocheros would fulfill all the commitments of the summer season. Thus, he conveyed peace of mind for the group’s presentation at the 2023 Cosquín Folklore Festival, scheduled for this Wednesday the 25th.
Álvaro promised the same thing when talking about the departure of his partner. However, this Monday they reported the opposite. In a publication on their networks, they stated that they will not sing throughout January due to the health of one of their relatives.
Why Los Nocheros will not perform in January
In their post on their official Instagram and Facebook account, Los Nocheros stated: “Last Sunday, January 22, 2023, our beloved Moro (Álvaro’s mother and Mario’s lifelong companion) suffered serious health complications, due to to two cerebral aneurysms, for which she had to undergo surgery today at dawn, being under intensive care and in a pharmacological coma, with a guarded prognosis.
“Given this delicate situation, we have decided to accompany the family and in agreement with the festivals, we will suspend the shows scheduled for the month of January.”
After that, they thanked both the public and the organizations of the summer festivals, including Cosquín Folklore.
For now, the Cordovan Festival has not given any communication on the matter.
