Samsung’s Free Service Lets You Find Your Lost Galaxy Device

Unfortunately, most people have experienced this: one minute you’re using your smartphone to reply to messages or watch videos, and suddenly you can’t find it.

In a BDG Studios/OnePoll survey, 1,000 Gen Zers across the United States1 were surveyed about their smartphone usage habits. The survey found that 14% of young people lose their device every day, and in less conventional places.

Among the most common responses are leaving the smartphone “over there by the bathroom” and “under my dog”. More than 100 respondents left their device in the fridge or freezer, and around eight respondents said they left their smartphone on top of, around or under the car.

It’s good practice to protect your data and have backups saved in the cloud before possibly forgetting your smartphone anywhere. But that doesn’t mean all is lost, even if your device is “buried in the sand on a beach in Mexico” (yes, one of the survey participants made that statement).

At these times the resource comes into action Find My Mobile from the Samsung Galaxy. The free service makes your smartphone ring at full volume for easy locating, and it also lets you remotely lock your device’s screen to ensure your privacy is protected no matter where you are.

Even if you lose your smartphone, you can relax knowing your device is protected.
