Mohali: Gujarat Titans skipper Hardik Pandya also punished for low over rate. In the match against Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League, the team did not complete the allotted overs. This is why the hero was fined.

The player was fined Rs 12 lakh for violating the rules of the IPL. Hardik is the third captain this season to be penalized for low over rate. Earlier RCB captain Faf du Plessis and Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson were also fined.

Despite restricting Punjab to a low score in the match, they were not able to complete the overs in the allotted time, confusing Gujarat. This is the first time a team has been penalized for a rule violation.

Earlier in the fight against Lucknow Supergiants, RCB skipper Duplessi was fined. Sanju was fined in the match against Chennai Super Kings.

Gujarat won the match against Punjab by six wickets. Batting first, Punjab scored 153 runs for the loss of eight wickets in the stipulated over, while Gujarat scored 154 runs for the loss of four wickets with one ball to spare.
