George Royeca, founder of ‌motorcycle ride-hailing platform Angkas, ⁣has had his driver’s license revoked by the ⁢Land Transportation office (LTO) due to a traffic‍ obstruction incident in Cainta, Rizal,‍ on Febuary‍ 2nd. LTO chief Vigor Mendoza II confirmed the decision in a recent interview.

Royeca admitted to organizing the Angkas riders who participated in a ⁣motorcade that caused ⁣traffic congestion. “He ‍admitted organizing the riders,” Mendoza ⁣stated. “For​ now, it is ‘permanently’ revoked. ⁣He can file (a motion), and we will​ read ⁣that,” the LTO Chief‍ added.

Taking Responsibility⁣

Following ​the⁣ incident, which went viral, Royeca publicly apologized and surrendered to ​the LTO.In a ⁢statement, he accepted responsibility ⁣for the riders’ actions.
