After 10 years since his last participation in a soap opera, Lucero returns to television with a new iconic character. America’s beloved ‘sweetheart’ is preparing her triumphant return to acting in an adaptation of Juan Rulfo’s novel, Gallo de oro.
In the television series, which premieres this Friday, October 20 on the Vix platform, ‘Lucerito’ will give life to Bernarda Cutiño, better known as ‘la Caponera’, a singer of palenques (rural fairs) who tours the towns of the central Mexico. She falls in love with Dionisio Pinzón, the main character of the book, a town crier who escapes poverty, thanks to the golden rooster.
