The New Taipei Branch of the Administrative Enforcement Office of the Ministry of Justice recently discovered that a real estate agent surnamed Li owed more than 8.28 million yuan due to late payment of special goods and services tax (commonly known as luxury tax) fines and labor and health insurance fees, and asked Li Nan to pay in installments. Unexpectedly, the other party refused to pay even the first installment of 10,000 yuan, and frequently complained that he was poor. However, after careful investigation by the executive officer, he found that his life was quite luxurious. Li Nan asked his wife to pay 1 million yuan first, and promised to pay the rest in installments.

The New Taipei Branch pointed out that this 40-something-year-old real estate agent has been working for more than 20 years. He was identified by the National Taxation Bureau in 2014 and 2015. He was suspected of evading luxury taxes by using his head. He was fined more than 11 million yuan and recovered more than 7 million yuan. The amount of tax evasion will be gradually transferred to the Administrative Executive Office for enforcement in 2019.

After the New Taipei Branch auctioned off Li Nan’s Porsche sports cars, storefronts, land, houses and other properties, he still owed more than 7.7 million yuan in luxury taxes. The National Taxation Bureau collected more than 200,000 yuan in real estate taxes and fined more than 40,000 yuan. The total includes unpaid taxes, fines, labor insurance and health insurance fees, etc. Li Nan still has more than 8.28 million yuan unpaid.

It’s just that the New Taipei branch office gave several opportunities to pay in installments, but Li Nan didn’t even pay the first installment fee of 10,000 yuan. As much as 50 million inheritance, Li Nan gave up the inheritance, but his younger brother inherited 3 properties and donated them to Li’s wife, and Li Nan and his wife’s spending in recent years includes many golf courses, high-end hotels, well-known department stores, and seabeds. There are many high-end restaurants such as Lao and Red House Steakhouse, as well as medical beauty clinics and even went abroad 26 times. The executive officer couldn’t help but feel “I’m so envious”.

In this regard, Li Nan said that he went to Cambodia and other countries many times to investigate the real estate market, and he was born in a wealthy family, and his life has always been like this. Unable to come up with a settlement plan for a long time, the New Taipei City Executive Office appealed to Guan Harvest for approval. Li Nan’s wife hurriedly remitted more than 1 million yuan in advance, and agreed to pay the remaining 7 million yuan in installments, with his wife as surety. Li Nan’s Li Nan was released after his brother-in-law provided a mortgage on the real estate to the IRS as a guarantee.
