Lyon crowned the French Women’s Champions League title with a precious 3/1 victory over Barcelona, Spain, on Saturday, in the final match of the tournament.
Lyon regained the title that it lost last season, as it beat Barcelona today to win its sixth title in the last seven seasons, and it is the eighth in the history of the tournament, which began in the 2001/2002 season.
Lyon advanced with three goals scored by Amandine Henry, Ada Hegerberg and Katrina Macario in the sixth, 23 and 33 minutes, before Barcelona scored a goal through its famous star Alexia Botías in the 41st minute, ending the first half with a 3-1 lead by Lyon.
