- Beninese number one, Patrice Talon was received this Tuesday, March 07, 2023 by his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron. These included a working lunch held at the Elysée.
The two heads of state returned on the occasion to the main lines of Macron’s last visit to Benin. They discussed support for vocational training, the strengthening of economic ties, cultural cooperation projects and support for the Beninese armed forces in terms of equipment for the fight once morest terrorism.
Visiting Cotonou in July 2022, the French president expressed his country’s desire to support Benin in the fight once morest terrorism. This support should strongly be materialized in the provision of equipment.
“From a security point of view, we will be there. Pickup, demining, bulletproof vests, night vision helmets will be delivered shortly. For drones, we will move forward to meet your request, ”Emmanuel Macron told Cotonou.
