Maduro rejected the exclusion of Venezuela at the Summit of the Americas

He promised that Unasur will resurface like the Phoenix.

The President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, expressed his rejection of the exclusion of Venezuela from the Summit of the Americas, but assured that his “voice will be present.”

In addition to the absence of the country, he also condemned that they do not want to invite Cuba and Nicaragua.

“The path of Latin America and the Caribbean is that of unity, of inclusion, of diversity, of democracy, of the right of all peoples to express their own opinions, to build their own destiny,” the president mentioned in a colloquium on the Battle of Pichincha, 200 years after its completion.

“We are trying to exclude the people of Venezuela from the so-called Summit of the Americas, there is a great protest from more than 25 governments against the attempt to exclude the peoples of Cuba, Nicaragua and Venezuela,” he added.

For him, “the summit is already the summit of the protest against imperialist exclusion, they intend to exclude us because they fear our anti-imperialist voice, they are afraid of the voice of the Bolivarians, they do not want the voice of Bolívar or Chávez to reach that meeting.”

Before, “I tell you whatever you do in Washington, the voice of Venezuela, Cuba and Nicaragua will reach Los Angeles, in the great protests of the peoples and our voice will be in that room.”

He thanked his colleague from Mexico, Manuel López Obrador, for “his courage, for his clarity.”

Growth of Unasur

He took the opportunity to request the resurgence of the Union of South American Nations (Unasur).

“There is a project of the great country that is about to be taken up again, it is Unasur, which the right wing shot, wounded, prostrated, but sooner rather than later, with the force of the liberators, it will emerge like a phoenix,” he mentioned.
