Magical thinking produces free electricity

According to France Bleuthe mayor of the village of Ligron in Sarthe (Philippe Biaud) plans to distribute “ free in 2023 (so who pays?) part of the production of photovoltaic panels that he plans to install through an association to which citizens can join.

The mayor is right

The mayor’s idea is to ” raise awarness “, which is to his credit: “When you are part of an association, you look closely at what is happening, if the panels are working, if they need maintenance. Today, we press a button and everything else escapes us”.

This mayor is right. Some citizens still believe that electricity comes out of the wall

Most French people have no idea what is going on far behind their electrical outlet to maintain the electrical voltage at all times. 220 volts and its frequency at 50 hertzwhatever the variations in demand and the vagaries of production, especially on windless nights.

By reclaiming part of the electricity system, everyone will better understand the large-scale issues”.

This mayor is right again.

When the inhabitants realize that their solar panels produce nothing at night but let their light bulbs shine at home and the trains continue to circulate, each “ will understand better ” that permanence of balance between demand and production is a difficult art. This balancing act makes it possible to supply hundreds of millions of Europeans with controllable energy sources such as nuclear and hydropower, but also gas and, especially in Germany and Poland, coal.

Amateurism, admittedly sometimes sympathetic, but inefficient and ruinous, of random production dependent on the wind and the sun which enriches powerful interests, especially foreign ones, must be denounced.

A perverse idea?

Now, if the underlying idea consists in making believe that the photovoltaic panels will produce a so-called electricity green so cheap that it might even be free at times, so there could be a problem.

This maneuver would then be exercised at the expense of the national community. consenting without the knowledge of one’s own free will …and who will pay.

Indeed, this project, like the great ecological bluff from Monts photovoltaic power plant inaugurated in 2005 in Chambéry, will also be subsidized by all other French people via imposed tariffs for the purchase of photovoltaic electricity production, taxes and duties on electricity (CSPE,…) and fuels (TICPE,…).

Eventually, the miraculous free electricity no longer comes from the wall outlet but from magical thinking” yakafokon » which only engages those who believe in it…

And for local or national elections, is that perhaps enough?
