Onana as goalkeeper
London: Harry Maguire has been removed from the captaincy of the English football club Manchester United. The club has officially announced this. Maguire became the captain when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was the coach.
Maguire, who plays as a central back, lost his place in the starting XI and also lost the captaincy.
Maguire started just 31 of the club’s 62 games last season. Although he has a contract with the club until 2025, Maguire is likely to leave the club. Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro are being considered as the new captain.
Onana as goalkeeper
: Andre Onana will be United’s new goalkeeper. The Cameron star is being brought from Inter Milan at a cost of Rs 536 crore.
After 12 seasons, Spanish goalkeeper David de Gea has stepped down from the club. Onana performed well for Inter Milan last season. Onana was a goalkeeper there when United coach Erik ten Haag was at Ajax.
