Majestic scenes of the floods entering the “Janabeen Dam” in southern Saudi Arabia

A circulating clip documented majestic moments when the torrents entered the “Al-Janabeen Dam” located east of Al-Baha region in Baljurashi Governorate, southern Saudi Arabia, after the heavy rains that fell in the region.

During the rain showers, the Saudi photographer Salem Al-Ghamdi caught the attention of 3 torrents entering majestically and simultaneously, which made him observe a number of scenes of the site in a strange way that he had not seen before.

Al-Ghamdi says: “I am in love with tracking the effects of rain on the ground and its impact on nature, and I have a wide production from different sites in Saudi Arabia, and these are images that have been widely popular on communication platforms.”

Al-Ghamdi mentioned that the Al-Janabeen Dam Park is one of the best parks in Al-Baha, and it is located in the Baljurashi area of ​​​​Al-Baha city near the dam, and it consists of 3 sections: a section for families, a section for youth, and a section for children. The park contains pedestrian paths, umbrellas for picnics and vast green spaces to spend time Fun and enjoying the fresh air and playing sports, as well as many children’s playgrounds, and the park is surrounded by a corniche that extends on both sides.

It is noteworthy that the Al-Janabeen Dam is considered one of the strategic dams that contribute to feeding Baljurashi Governorate. The dam’s storage capacity is 17 million cubic meters, the height of the dam is 28 meters, the height of the spillway is 23 meters, and the length of the dam is 180 meters.

In addition, the National Center of Meteorology stated in its weather report, Thursday, that the opportunity is still ripe for thunderstorms accompanied by active winds and hail showers in parts of the regions: Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Makkah Al-Mukarramah, Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah, as well as in parts of Regions: Riyadh, Qassim, Hail, Al-Jawf, the northern border, and extends to the northern parts of the eastern region.
