Mr. Le Hong Son (from Ha Tinh) said that on this occasion he returned to his hometown to celebrate Tet with his family, so he did not use the car, he rented it out for 15 days for only 10 million VND.
“Last year, I drove back to my hometown to both travel and return for Tet, but this year I decided to return to my hometown by plane, so I rented a car to my friend. Because it’s a friendly place, I also get a pretty cheap price,” said Mr. Son.
According to Mr. Son, his car is not only going to work every day, but he also runs a technology car service on weekends, so the car often works. If the car does not run for a long time during the Lunar New Year, it is not good. Therefore, choosing to rent a car also helps him have an extra cost to return to his hometown.
Not only Mr. Son, many car owners returning to their hometown on this Tet holiday also rent their cars or send them to self-driving car rental units.

According to a survey of PV, private units deploy many car rental packages during the Lunar New Year 2023 with the common form of 7-10 days package. Some rental units for 7-10 days, the price can be reduced by 10%-20%.
Rental rates range from 9.5 million VND/7 days, 12 million VND/10 days for small models, 11 million VND/7 days and 14 million VND/10 days for pickup trucks, 7-seater cars, large car.
If the car hires a short-term rental, the price will be different. For example, class A cars such as Kia Morning or VinFast Fadil, Hyundai Grand i10 have retail rental prices ranging from 1-1.3 million VND/day, while the average price in the year is about 500,000-600,000 VND/day. .
Segment B, small family cars like Toyota Vios, Honda City, Nissan Sunny… cost 1.2-1.5 million VND/day. Or segment C, mid-size affordable cars like Honda Civic, Toyota Altis, Kia Cerato, Hyundai Elantra cost 1.2-1.8 million VND/day. Particularly for seven-seat cars, the price is from 1.6 million VND or more, depending on the model of the car and the time of rental. Higher priced luxury cars such as Mercedes, BMW will cost 3-3.4 million VND/day.
Especially this year, the rental car market has appeared new models, such as VinFast VF e34 electric car with a rental price of 5.5 million VND for a 3-day package.
