Makkah | Major Khalid Al Kridis, who is in charge of public security, said that Hajj security forces have tightened checks at the entrances and places to Mecca for the holy Hajj rituals.

From the beginning of the fifth day of Dhul Hijjah, Hajj security forces have implemented traffic plans at the entrances to Makkah, main roads and entry points to the holy sites of Mina and Arafat.

Currently, only vehicles with five types of permits are allowed into Makkah. Hajj service vehicles such as government, service agencies, drinking water tankers and food service vehicles are transported under five categories. Traffic on King Faisal Road and Taif Road will be closed from the evening of the 7th of Dhul Hijjah to the 10th day of Dhul Hijjah.

Vehicles and pilgrims will be allowed to pass through the Hajj permit applications at the prevention points following verification of the Hajj permit application. Those who assist unauthorized persons to enter Mecca for Hajj will be punished with six months in prison and a fine of 50,000 Riyals (Rs. 10,00,000). If the violator is a foreigner, he will be banned from entering Saudi Arabia following serving his sentence, deported and his vehicle will be confiscated.
