Malaga will be promoted in Fitur, which is celebrated from this Wednesday, January 19 to Sunday, January 23 in Madrid, as a safe destination and “adjusted to all motivations” of tourists thanks to the diversity of its offer.

The mayor of the city, Francisco de la Torre, will lead the Malaga delegation, which has fifty companies as co-exhibitors, as reported on Monday by the City Council in a statement.



The professional agenda includes about eighty meetings with travel agencies, airlines and cruise companies, tour operators and metasearch engines, and Spanish tourist offices abroad, among others.

Among these appointments, the meetings with responsible for the offices in Miami and Los Angeles (USA), in which the current situation of Malaga with the North American market will be analyzed in terms of air connectivity, current tourism and possibilities to strengthen the ties between both destinations.

The institutional agenda will serve to promote awareness of city attractions such as the Botanical-Historic Garden of La Concepción, the Historic Cemetery of San Miguel or the Automobile and Fashion Museum.

The City Council will also take advantage of Fitur to promote Holy Week in Malaga, together with the Association of Brotherhoodswhich will take place this year in April.

The exhibitor of Malaga Ciudad Genial It will occupy 254.5 square meters compared to the 160 of the previous edition, as it will be located inside Hall 7, a space that will bet on digitization and will have information through QR codes, a technology that will also allow access to virtual visits.
