Man Apologizes for Attacking Dog with Slingshot: His Explanation and Apology

The man accused of attacking a dog with a slingshot at the service station in Villa Alemana, in the Valparaíso region, He gave his version of what happened, apologized and stated that he “likes animals.”

Man gives his version of what happened

Days after what happened, the person involved, Gastón Ojeda, recorded a video to give his version of the events and apologize.

“I live next to Copec and this situation of dogs barking happens every night and it is very difficult for me to fall asleep. “I had a terrible week and unfortunately I went to bed and couldn’t (sleep)… the dogs were barking, barking,” He began explaining.

According to him, on several occasions he has spoken to the firefighters to ask them to “please throw out the dogs, but they tell me that they arrive alone, that they cannot throw them out.”

Ojeda acknowledged that on that morning “I went down very angry to ask them to please drive them away and no one paid attention to my request. “I made a bad decision to throw a stone with a slingshot at one of the dogs.”

“I feel deeply sorry for what happened. I have a dog that is a foundation and two cats that are also a foundation, people who know me know that I like animals and “I made a very bad decision.”he added.

The man took advantage of the opportunity to apologize to the firefighters at the service center, to the neighbors, to the community, to his son and partner.

“I have no justification, I feel deeply sorry. I and my surroundings have had a bad time. “I am willing to assume the consequences of the trial that was carried out,” he insisted, adding that he hopes people understand it since “by not sleeping repeatedly and waking up with noise, in the end it upset me.”
