On Saturday, a man was arrested leaving a store for assault and battery. In fact, the man hit a store employee because the latter thought he had shoplifted. In the end, the suspect had not stolen anything.
The victim has days of incapacity for work.
The suspect, who is known to the courts for similar acts, was deprived of his liberty and referred to the Liège public prosecutor’s office on Sunday. His case was placed under investigation and a request for an arrest warrant was made against him.
