Prayagraj: After killing his mother in Haryana, the son who traveled to UP by train with the suitcase containing the body was arrested. The police have arrested the son of Himanshu (20) who killed Pratima Devi (42), an employee of a cotton mill living in Hisar, Haryana. The incident happened on 13th of this month.
Himanshu had demanded five thousand rupees from his mother. When Pratima Devi said that she could not give this, there was a dispute. The police said that Himanshu strangled Pratima to death. In the evening of the same day, the body was packed in a suitcase and reached Prayagraj in UP by train. Police said that Himanshu’s plan was to dump the body in Sangam.
When the Daraganj police were patrolling the Sangam area, Himanshu was caught suspiciously with a suitcase and the body was found inside the suitcase during the inspection. The investigating officers said that the body has been sent for post-mortem.
They also informed about the incident to Haryana Police and Himanshu’s sister and father. Himanshu was arrested and remanded after being produced in court.
