On Wednesday, before the Namur criminal court, the labor prosecutor did not object to the suspension of the sentencing for a period of 3 years in a case of manslaughter.

In July 2019, a 26-year-old temporary worker from the province of Liège lost his life in the Père Olive factory, located in Andenne. A moving part was not protected on a machine used to overturn washing tanks and the worker was swept away by the tipper. Various shortcomings had been highlighted by the labor auditor.

Since then, the company has invested in safety equipment. She admitted her guilt in the death of the young man and compensated the civil parties.
