A man was arrested this Thursday in the US for allegedly shooting a 6-year-old girl and her parents after the little girl entered her yard to look for a ball. This is the latest in a series of violent acts caused by seemingly trivial circumstances.
According to reports collected by AP, the event occurred Tuesday night in the town of Gastonia, North Carolina, when several children tried to recover a basketball that had rolled into the yard of the suspect, identified as Robert Louis Singletary, 24. years, who rebuked them. Moments later, the subject entered his house and came out with a revolver, with which he began to shoot while the parents desperately tried to get their children to safety.
As a result of the shooting, six-year-old Kinsley White was grazed by a bullet in the left cheek and had to be taken to a hospital, where she was later released. Singletary, who fled, was arrested two days later in the Tampa, Florida area.
