Pedro Cruz Cuarez, 49, was arrested by officers of the Peñalver Municipal Police (Polipeñalver) following an alleged physical assault that he would have committed once morest his partner.
Chief supervisor Ronal Leal, director of the police force, reported that the arrest was carried out on Main Street in the Buenos Aires sector in Puerto Píritu. He added that they arrived at the scene following receiving a phone call alerting them to the episode of gender violence.
Leal indicated that once on the site they verified the information. It was the victim who confirmed that her partner had injured her and also verbally assaulted her, for which Cuarez was apprehended and taken to the police headquarters.
The case was placed under the order of the Public Prosecutor’s Office (MP) for the corresponding inquiries.
