On a sporting level, Thomas Guilmot and Pierre Balty fought a great battle, which ultimately turned to the advantage of the former, winning in 26.08 over the 8 km. The first lady, 38th overall, is Ingrid Spelmans (33.05)
In the 4 km, successes were achieved by Jelle Bulens (12.27) and Tatiane Stellian (15.13), who finished two seconds ahead of Elea Buis.
