Marc Márquez back on the bike: Training in Aragón / MotoGP

MotoGP superstar Marc Márquez returned to the circuit for the first time on a motorcycle on Wednesday. The Spaniard drove a Honda CBR600RR around the kart track at Motorland Aragón.

Stefan Bradl emphasized this week that he expects Marc Márquez to be back on his Honda RC213V in Misano. The German is still standing in for him on the race weekend, but Honda is counting on the comeback of the Spanish super talent at the subsequent test on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Márquez decided to withdraw immediately from the MotoGP World Championship at the Mugello GP in order to have another operation on his upper right arm. The 29-year-old flew to the United States of America for the procedure. Last week, the Honda factory rider underwent another CT scan, with the result that he is allowed to ride again.

The long-awaited comeback on a race track then took place on Wednesday. Marquez ventured back onto the track on a Honda CBR600RR. On the kart circuit at Motorland Aragón, the Spaniard drove the first laps after a break of more than three months.

The eight-time motorcycle world champion then commented on his Instagram profile. “Today I can’t stop smiling. After a lot of effort, I’m finally back on the bike,” said the Honda star. «Thanks to everyone who always supports me. Let’s keep going.”
