March Madness: Kansas rejoint Villanova

After a very tight first half, the University of Kansas started in second to defeat Miami 76 to 50, Sunday in Chicago, in the quarterfinals of March Madness.

Miami offered solid opposition and led early in the second half. A three-pointer from Christian Braun with just over 15 minutes to go, however, put the Jayhawks in front.

The Kansas institution representatives then found their way around and never allowed their Florida rivals to come back to the score.

Ochai Agbaji was certainly the offensive leader in the win with 18 points and four assists. David McCormack meanwhile totaled 15 points in just 17 minutes and Braun, 12.

Kameron McGusty (18 points) and Isaiah Wong (15 points) led the charge for the Hurricanes. The latter, however, lacked opportunism since they converted only 34.5% of their shots on the basket. Only three of their 21 shots from downtown have allowed them to score points.

The winners now meet the Villanova Wildcats in the semi-finals.
