Tennis player Marie Benoit has qualified for the final of the Vero Beach ITF tournament in Florida. In the semifinals, the woman from Eupen defeated the American Elvina Kalieva 7:6 and 6:2.
In the final Marie Benoit meets the winner of the duel between the American Emma Navarro and the Russian Vera Lapko.
The $60,000 tournament will be played on clay.
In doubles, Benoit and her doubles partner, Swede Caijsa Wilde Hennemann, failed in the quarter-finals.
