Mario Strikers: Battle League Football is shown in a new and extensive gameplay

Mario Strikes: Battle League Football, the soccer game most anticipated by Nintendo Switch users, is shown in a new trailer that delves into various aspects of its gameplay. Next Level Games, the studio after this new installmenthas taken the opportunity to remember the release date: June 10th. At the moment, the trailer is only available in perfect Japanese, although since Gematsu have shared a summary of the main points.

Key features of the new Mario Strikers

Tackle, pass and score in Battle Soccer with the Champin Kingdom gang

  • Introducing Strike, a five-on-five sport, similar to football, with no rules: do whatever it takes to win! Be brave and try to score as many goals as you can by tackling enemies, using items and taking special shots to increase your score. Mainstays of the Super Mario series like Peach, Toad and Yoshi put their studs (and their stats) on the pitch and will stop at nothing to score. Customize your characters with equipment that can increase their stats and appearance. Bring the fun to the net or pass the ball to local players; just watch out for the electric fence.

join an online club to level up

  • net to a group of up to 20 forwards in a line and compete against other clubs to get points. Find the right club for you, team up with your friends and bring your own striker style. Fight to become the best club in the world every season!

Blast the field with up to eight players

  • Eight players can go for the goal on a single Nintendo Switch console, with local or online wireless connection. Take a secondary striker on the same console in online battles, too. Locally, four players from each team can go for the goal in individual matches.
