Bucks sophomore MarJon Beauchamp put on a show this Saturday at Jamal Crawford’s Pro-Am League. The winger offered himself a record in the summer league: 83 points!!
So yes we know, it’s just a summer league, and it includes players of all levels and several Sunday amateurs. Not where it usually defends the lead. But still, going to slam 83 points (32/45 shooting, 8/17 from 3-pointers), it’s still a pretty crazy performance. No NBA star who came to trot in Jamal Crawford’s League had offered himself a card like that. We do not ignite, MarJon Beauchamp is not going to become the best scorer in the NBA tomorrow, it would already be good if he could scratch a regular role in the rotation of the Bucks. This kind of performance remains despite everything ultra-positive and encouraging for the future, especially for a player who is still looking for himself on the offensive level.
Rather discreet for his first NBA season with the Bucks (5 points in 13 minutes, 52 games played), MarJon Beauchamp is a player to watch next year. Milwaukee hopes that his summer progress shown in the Summer League will allow him to regularly bring his stone to the building off the bench. With Khris Middleton, Grayson Allen, Malik Beasley and even Pat Connaughton, the wings of the Bucks are rather well provided but if Beauchamp finally manages to become more regular in his performances, he must be able to scratch a few minutes here and there.
